We are looking to broaden the collection to be more reflective of Naugatuck's demographics.

History is more than just the well-known names and major industries - it is the everyday lives, small businesses, family traditions, and personal experiences that shape a community. We want to preserve these untold histories so that future generations can see a fuller, more inclusive picture of the past. If you have photographs, documents, or memorabilia that capture these experiences, we encourage you to share them with us.

General Memorabilia & Documents

  • Old Newspapers – From any year to help chronicle Naugatuck’s history.

  • Current Newspaper Clippings & Event Flyers – Documenting local events.

  • Naugatuck High School Yearbooks – We are specifically looking for 1991, 1994, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, and 2009-2023.

  • Elementary & Middle School Yearbooks – From any Naugatuck school, any year.

  • Family Photos (People Identified) – To help preserve personal histories.

  • Family Stories (Written or Typed) – Stories of life in Naugatuck from any era.

  • Favorite Outfits & Personal Clothing – Well-loved clothing items that tell a personal story or reflect fashion trends in Naugatuck.

  • Old Letters & Postcards – Correspondence offering glimpses into daily life, relationships, and historical events.

  • Journals & Diaries – Personal reflections capturing life in Naugatuck across different eras.

  • Dog Trading Cards from Peter Paul Manufacturing Company – We currently have only 3 out of 36 (Scottish Terrier, Chihuahua, and Irish Wolfhound).

  • Labor Union & Worker Advocacy Materials – Documents and items reflecting the role of diverse workers in labor movements in Naugatuck.

  • Advertising & Promotional Materials – Signs, posters, menus, matchbooks, and giveaways from local businesses.
